Our Plan for the Future
Rebuilding Sisterhood. Strengthening Legacy. Inspiring Growth.
By the grace of Allah (swt), we look toward the future with purpose and faith. Guided by wisdom and driven by a desire for excellence, we strive to build a legacy that honors our values and serves the Ummah.
“Indeed, Allah loves that when one of you does a thing, he does it with proficiency (Ihsan).”
Together, we plan with sincerity; together, we achieve with tawakkul.
In our efforts to rebuild sisterhood, strengthen our legacy, and inspire growth, we have identified four priorities.
Our Priorities for 2026
-
Expand membership with care and respect with emphasis on building a strong bond among all members
-
Volunteer at community events
-
Host halaqas and tea gatherings
-
Partner with local masjids
Here's what some of our sorors say about their Gamma experiences
![]() Imani Canty, FounderIt has been 21 years since the founding of our beloved sisterhood. I’ve had the privilege of traveling, connecting, and collaborating with so many beautiful sisters across major metropolitan cities. Now more than ever, Gamma Gamma Chi Sorority, Inc. remains very necessary, continuing a legacy rooted in sisterhood, leadership, service, and empowerment that will inspire generations to come, inshaAllah. | ![]() Dr. Althia Ali, FounderMy work has been a true labor of love. I've met so many wonderful women as I have helped to build chapters across the US. "Strategic Vison 26" is our way of bringing back the magic that was Gamma Gamma Chi Sorority, Inc. inshaAllah. We have so much to look forward to by Allah's mercy and blessings. May Allah accept our efforts as sadiqah jariah. Ameen. | ![]() Kelly MuhammadInducted 2007 Gamma Gamma Chi Sorority, Inc. has given me the opportunity to fully participate in sisterhood without pressure to compromise my faith and values. As a member for nearly 20 years, I’ve had the honor of helping charter a chapter and enjoying unforgettable travel experiences. Gamma has gifted me with immediate lifelong bonds, beautifully created by our shared sorority and spirituality. May Allah be pleased. |

![]() Tiffany PittsInducted 2009 I found GGCHi at a time when I was deeply missing a sense of sisterhood, five years after time in Syria where I had lived in an international dormitory. We had a beautiful bond, which I craved after leaving. I came across an article about a new Islamic sorority and was immediately interested. Surprisingly, a few childhood friends were already members! One of them invited me to a Lavender Luncheon and I knew then that I wanted to join Gamma. Alhamdulillah! | ![]() Vernetta MarquisInducted 2007 I expressed interest in Gamma as a new Muslimah in the DC metro area because its mission and vision resonated with me. I saw becoming a soror as a wonderful opportunity to build a lasting sisterhood with other Muslimahs. Alhumdulillah, I am grateful for the many friendships I have made on this journey. Engaging with the community through volunteer work and supporting local events as a sorority has been incredibly rewarding. | ![]() Sabrina LabaranInducted 2010 My experience with Gamma Gamma Chi Sorority, Inc. has been filled with adventure, growth, and sisterhood. I love being part of an organization that cares about its members and the community. It provides a halal environment where I can be myself, use my strengths, improve my weaknesses, and continue growing alongside supportive sisters. |
