Return to the Hive

We believe, "Once a Gamma, always a Gamma." So, even though a soror may have become inactive, she is welcome to express her interest in returning to her bee-loved sorority.  We call it Returning to the Hive.

On this page, you will see the process that allows sorors who have been inactive for a period of two years or more to formally express interest in returning to active status, reintroduce them to new policies and procedures and communicate to their chapter of origin or the Chi Chapter upon the soror’s return.

 

Effective June 1, 2026-December 2026

The Process:

​

1. An inactive Gamma submits a niyyah expressing her interest to return to active status (return to the hive).

2. The soror attends an introductory meeting (virtual or in-person) with at least three active sorors from the Chi Chapter.

3. The soror then follows a 40-day sisterhood building process in which she does the following:

• Pays current chapter dues

• Attends required social meetings

• Leads a chapter activity

• Attends a Sorority History Refresher Session

• Keeps in regular communication with active sorors to build sisterhood

• Provides a written recommendation from three active sorors​​​
